Magnetic Business Cards with Rewards

Many professional carpet cleaning companies use magnetic business cards for their customers.  Magnetic business cards are actually a good tool.  Customers can put them on their refrigerator, desk, or other visible location.  This allows your customer to remember your company, and also allows their guests to see your business name as well.  However, customers don’t always want a magnetic business card with their kid’s “A” paper hanging on the refrigerator.

How can you incentivize your customer to hang your magnetic business card in a visible location?  You want people to see your business card.  You don’t want your customer to just throw it away.  A great method to incentivize the display of your magnetic business card is to offer a free gift or a discount if the customer places the magnetic business card in a good location.

An on the job example would be:  If you give the customer a card after cleaning, you can offer them a free spotter bottle (Safe*Out is a good, inexpensive option) if they allow you to place the magnet on the refrigerator for them.

Another example would be mailing the magnetic business card with a newsletter.  You probably keep up with your customer base already with a periodic mailing.  You can easily slip a magnetic business card in with the mailing.  Mention that if the magnetic business card is hanging in a visible location next time you are cleaning their home, they will get a free gift or discount.

As stated above, the goal is to have the customer hang the magnetic business card in a prime location.  The more homes your magnetic business card displays, the more opportunities you have for customers’ guests to see your name!
