Business Survival

For years, businesses have relied on loyal customers to ensure growth & survival.  However, today, this trend is changing drastically with a new crop of customers. Businesses are now realizing that customer loyalty is now making a reversal.  Your customers are now expecting your business to be loyal to them… to meet their ever changing wants and needs.

In the professional cleaning industry, it is all about being competitive with diversified services.  By expanding into multiple services, you are expressing more loyalty to your customers by meeting their wants and needs.

In the last few years, we have seen too many companies go out of business.  They honestly believed that it was too risky to expand and invest in additional services.  They let the “Risk Factor” make their decision not realizing how quickly customers will change to find companies who will meet their needs.  Remember, the only risk any business has is the day the business started.  Each day after is all about challenging yourself and your business to keep your business competitive by offering the added services your customers demand.

Many business professionals sometimes have a misunderstanding of the mathematical effect of losing a customer to their competition, because they did not offer additional services.  Let us give you an example.  Let’s say you don’t offer Air Duct & Dryer Vent cleaning and you only loose one job a month because you don’t offer this service.  Many businesses feel one job a month is nothing to give up to their competition.  However, remember, a good customer will average two new referrals to your business.  Those referrals would become customers and in turn provide additional referrals.  Now, the mathematical effect multiplies quickly to give your competition more work.  Plus, your competition will do their best to keep your customers.

Just giving up one customer can basically multiply to three to five customers.  In just a couple years, losing one customer a month can cost your company hundreds of customers.  However, there is a way to use the mathematical effect to your benefit.  Adding additional services can add additional customers to your company.  Using the same mathematical effect in reverse can produce hundreds of extra customers to your business in just a couple years.

Business survival and your customer loyalty will always be the main ingredients to your business success.  If you are looking for additional diversification, try checking out the SpinVax Air Duct Cleaning System by CleanCraft.  You already have customers that want this service.  Why not meet their needs and prevent the negative mathematical effect!

Agree with you that the businesses are more of challenging these days. To keep the pace with the time one has to be more innovative and should be able to take risks. Business is a risk so when one has taken the initial risk then no matter what happens you will get the customers flowing to your business.
